Adoptable Dogs
Wally
Male / Approx. 6 Years Old
Current Status: Wally’s applications are closed!
Meet Wally!
6 Years Old | Special Needs
Sweet as pie who loves attention! He just wants to lay by your side and get all the pets in the world (and he deserves it). Not the best at commands, but he will give you a kiss for a treat! He is very food motivated and could work on begging, but he just loves a good bite to eat! Does well in a kennel but also could free roam. Also great on a leash! Not a chewer or a big toy guy, more of a run laps outside after going potty and crash on the couch! Is the best companion and will be loyal to his new family. Also does great with other dogs! He also does well around other livestock (like chickens) and children. He will fall asleep during grooming because he is just a relaxed guy.
Medical: Wally does have kidney disease that caused him to become anemic which requires a special prescribed kibble. He has started his journey to a healthier life with his foster parents, but the kidney disease does cause occasional accidents in the house, but as long as you take him potty after drinking a lot of water you’re in the clear. While his kidneys become more regulated, the less accidents in the house. Has only had 3 accidents in 3 weeks at current Foster’s house. He also has some ear issues, so routine cleanings are a must! Will take medications in his food so it’s a breeze if you ever need to give him medication.
Ideal Home: Relaxed family with room for him to run laps in the yard.
Personality: Sweet, snuggler, food motivated!

Riley is adopted!
Female / Approx. 3 Years Old
Current Status: Adopted!
Meet Riley. 🤎🐾
Riley is a 3 year old female Boykin. She’s potty trained, crated trained, spayed and gets along great with other dogs (and pigs). Riley loves bird watching (or chasing)! She loves being outdoors running around. I’m sure she could be trained to make the perfect hunting companion. While she loves to run her zoomies, she’s also a snuggler.
She had a double ear infection and allergies when I got her, and is responding well to meds. She will make the perfect pet for anyone!
As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to any of our dogs coming into your home. You must be an approved adopter to be considered for any of our dogs and you must meet the needs of the particular dog you are interested in.

Briar has found his foster family!
Male / Approx. 7 Years Old
Current Status: Applications are closed!
Briar is a purebred, male Boykin Spaniel with beautiful eyes and a big heart. Our sweet boy is approximately 7 years old and working through some training barriers. He will need a family with a strong alpha parent who is ready and willing to put in the time and work needed to get him where he needs to be, socially speaking.
This sweet boy is shy when warming up, but once he knows he is safe with you he is all yours. When he feels secure he loves belly rubs and pets from his people. He truly enjoys being able to run and enjoy smelling all the smells in his territory. For this reason, we are recommending a fenced yard.
Ideal Home: Low-key lifestyle and family with an alpha parent or individual who enjoys exercise, outdoor time, training and a fenced in yard. Briar’s foster mother believes a family with small children would not benefit him at this time.
Personality: Shy, but once trusting he is a lover!
Briar needs a strong personality, is that YOU?
As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to any of our dogs coming into your home. You must be an approved adopter to be considered for any of our dogs and you must meet the needs of the particular dog you are interested in.

Monty is adopted!
Male / Approx. 10 MonthsOld
Current Status: Adopted!
Say hello to Monty, a 10 month old neutered purebred Boykin pup. He is currently in a South Carolina foster home and is ready to meet his forever family!
Monty is a typical Boykin Spaniel puppy with LOTS of energy and drive! He loves to run and play, and is doing well on and off leash. So far, he has done well with other dogs and small humans, but very young children will need to be mindful of his age and stage of training. His foster mom is working with him on house manners, i.e. jumping, potty training and his mouthiness. He loves belly rubs and wants to be near his people most of all! Monty will do best in a structured home with someone who is willing and able to continue his training.
If you feel you are a perfect fit for this beautiful boy, please submit your application at the link below, or email us at applications@olbdr.org to let us know you are already approved and interested in Monty!
As with all our dogs, you will need to complete an adoption application and be fully and completely interviewed, processed and approved prior to any of our dogs coming into your home. You must be an approved adopter to be considered for any of our dogs and you must meet the needs of the particular dog you are interested in.

Tilly is Adopted!
Female / Approx. 6 Years Old
Current Status: Tilly is ADOPTED!
✨ Meet Tallulah AKA Tilly ✨
This beautiful 6-year-old Boykin Spaniel is officially looking for her forever family! 🤎
Tilly was recently spayed and will be fully healed, vetted, and ready to head home in early June. While she may be 6 years old, don’t let that fool you… this girl still has plenty of pep in her paws! 🐾
Tilly is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. She loves to play hard, explore, chew on bones, and toss around her toys… but when the fun is over, she’s more than happy to curl up for a nap right beside you. 🦴🎾💤
She’s curious, incredibly smart, and always wants to be part of whatever her people are doing. Tilly also does great with other dogs of all sizes and reads social cues very well.
We’re currently helping her polish up a few house manners like staying off the counters and not jumping, and she’s learning quickly! ✨
Tilly would thrive with someone who understands that transitioning into a new home can take a little time and patience, while also making sure she gets the activity, attention, and enrichment she enjoys.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet heart, playful spirit, and plenty of love to give, Tilly may just be your girl. 🤎

Buckey is Adopted!
Male / Approx. 5 Years Old
Current Status: Buckey is adopted!
Buckey is a five year old, male Boykin Spaniel ~ with a TAIL! He is currently in foster care and finishing up his HW treatment. He will be neutered on June 2nd and ready to go to his fur-ever home by mid June. Buckey will need an active home, as he has TONS of that beautiful Boykin energy. He is a very sweet boy, but does have some dominant behavior. He is not aggressive, but will mark indoors where female dogs have been present. Otherwise he is house trained, kennel trained, and not food aggressive. He does require respect during feeding times, so homes with children will need to offer education on this. He desperately craves attention and physical touch, and loves to cuddle. Some things to consider when thinking of Buckey in your home are :
He must be leashed, has a tendency to run when he is in unfamiliar surroundings
Has a “thing” for anything leather
Loves car rides
Does great with children, but needs mutual respect
Ideal Home: Active older family or individual who enjoys walks, outdoor time, plenty of love and a fenced in yard.
Personality: Loving, energetic, dominant, and playful
Buckey will make a perfect addition to an adventurous family with time and patience for him to learn the routine!

Watson is Adopted!
Male / Approx. 6 Years Old
Current Status: Watson is ADOPTED!!!!
Say hello to Watson! He is a beautiful purebred Boykin Spaniel. He is six years old and already neutered. Watson is a loving boy with a big heart and even larger personality. Beneath his tough-guy moments is a sweet, affectionate dog who absolutely adores his people and wants nothing more than to be loved on.
Watson thrives in a structured home with a confident owner who understands the importance of leadership and consistency. He responds extremely well when boundaries are clear and he knows someone else is “running the show.” Because of this, Watson’s ideal home would be with someone experienced in dog ownership and training — someone comfortable being the calm, confident leader he needs to feel secure.
Watson has already shown that he can bond deeply with both humans and other dogs. He currently lives with other pups and enjoys snuggling and loving on them. However, he can occasionally display dominant behaviors such as growling or humping during interactions. Because of this, any multi-dog home would need an owner experienced in managing pack dynamics and maintaining structure.Watson’s Personality ❤️
